ORGANIZATION

When the cast and crew of Broadway Stage Collective’s A Christmas Carol came together for their annual seasonal production, they found more than just holiday spirit—they discovered how CUR8 transformed their rehearsal process. From scheduling and communication to choreography review and ticketing, CUR8 streamlined every step.

For Director/Choreographer Rachel Debeneditto and mother-daughter duo Autumn and Juliet Hanes (11 years old), the platform made all the difference.

Autumn & Juliet Hanes: A Family in Sync

When mother and daughter Autumn and Juliet Hanes were both cast in A Christmas Carol, they weren’t just sharing the stage—they were navigating a packed holiday season, balancing rehearsals, school, work, and family life. CUR8 became the central hub that kept         everything organized, efficient, and stress-free.

Autumn, you were both a parent and a performer in this production. How did CUR8 help you juggle those responsibilities?

Autumn Hanes: Total game-changer. Having one shared calendar that clearly showed when and where Juliette and I were called? Lifesaver. I wasn’t constantly second-guessing or texting stage management late at night—everything we needed was in CUR8. I could see our conflicts, call times, even notes, all in one place. It turned what’s usually a scheduling circus into something that actually felt manageable and calm.

Juliet Hanes: It made everything way easier! I could just go to CUR8 and boom—there was my schedule. No need to bug my mom or keep asking the director. It helped me feel like a real part of the cast. Plus, I even uploaded my own headshot and bio, which made me feel super professional.

Juliet, we heard you did another show right after A Christmas Carol. That production didn’t use CUR8—how did that compare?

Autumn, what was it like not being involved in the second production—and not having CUR8?

Juliet Haines: Oh, it was way harder. I was always checking with people to make sure I had the right info. Sometimes rehearsal times changed and no one told me, so I’d show up early—or late! It made me really miss CUR8. Everything was just smoother with it.

Juliet, as a young performer, how did CUR8 help you stay on track with your rehearsals?

Autumn Haines: It was kinda rough. Since I wasn’t in the show, I didn’t have the inside scoop—and without CUR8, there was no central place to get updates or connect with the team. Juliette did her best to stay on top of it, but we still hit snags and last-minute curveballs. It made me appreciate CUR8 so much more. When it’s in place, everything just clicks—whether you’re onstage or not.

"CUR8 made it so we could focus on the fun, creative part of the process—not the chaos. It brought everything together—schedules, notes, cast info—in one easy place. It worked for everyone: parents, kids, directors. It’s built for real people making real theatre happen. "

Rachel – Choreographer:

Smart Scheduling.

Clear Communication.

Stronger Rehearsals.

As the choreographer for A Christmas Carol, Rachel was responsible for building dynamic movement and keeping a large cast on track. With CUR8, she didn’t just teach the steps—she empowered her performers to review, reflect, and refine between rehearsals. CUR8 streamlined the process so she could focus on the art, not the admin.

What was it like using CUR8 during the rehearsal process?

Rachel: It was a dream. I’ve worked on shows where I had to chase down schedules, send reminder texts, and take my own attendance just to stay organized. CUR8 took all of that off my plate. I could focus on the choreography, knowing the logistics were handled.

How did CUR8 help you handle changes or unexpected updates?

Rachel:  I loved that CUR8 did the communication for me. If I needed to shift rehearsal by 30 minutes or cancel due to weather, I’d update it in the app and everyone would be notified immediately. I didn’t have to send a million texts and hope people saw them. It made me look way more organized than I’ve ever felt!

Final Thoughts?

Rachel:  CUR8 made me a happier choreographer. It took the stress and chaos out of the process so I could focus on the creativity. And it helped the cast take ownership of their work outside of the room. Everyone felt more prepared—and that translated directly to what we saw on stage.
